How it began

Founded by fans

On The Wing was founded by friends and fellow football fans, Graham Johnston and Paul Watson. The idea was sparked by our efforts to organise the ultimate lads trip, culminating in a truly memorable experience watching Newcastle United vs Benfica in Lisbon in 2021. We managed to pull off complex logistics, even securing a catamaran with a pizza chef, proving to ourselves that extraordinary sporting experiences beyond the ticket were achievable.

Realising that the magic of global sports travel was often undercut by poor organisation and unfair pricing, we established On The Wing to offer fans competitive tickets alongside truly authentic local experiences.
